Bracket Deadlines
Because bracket scoring depends on who you picked to win the first round of games, there is a deadline to submit. Your bracket must be completed by Thursday, March 18th at 11am. The system will not allow you to choose teams in your bracket after that. If you’ve signed up but haven’t made a choice by the deadline we will do our best to auto pick the bracket for you.
How does it work?
The tournament is divided into 4 regions, each region holding 16 teams. The teams are matched up based on their ranking, with the the top ranked team for a region playing the 16th ranked, the 2nd ranked team playing the 15th ranked, and so on. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS! The tournament is known for its wild upsets, which is part of what makes it so exciting.
To participate in the bracket, you will select the winner of each matchup all the way to the final game. The catch is you make all of your selections at the very beginning of the tournament. You earn points for each successful pick, with picks deeper in the tournament being worth twice as much as the previous round. At the end of the tournament your points for successful picks are tallied and the highest number of points wins.
