Friends of McPherson Election for School Year 2025-2026

Friends of McPherson will be holding their upcoming election on Thursday, May 1st, 8:00am.

FOM is a non-profit organization run by parents, teachers, and community members that exists to help support our school, students, and teachers, as well as building community relationships.  Through fundraising activities, FOM strives to support the school’s academic and extracurricular programs.  To apply, click here.

FOM Positions

President- Officer/ Board Position

The President shall preside over meetings of FOM, serve as the primary contact between FOM and the Principal, represent the organization at meetings outside of FOM, and coordinate the work of all of the Directors and Committees so that the purpose of the organization is served. Position also includes voting rights within FOM. One term served on the board is required.

Vice President- Officer/ Board Position

Assist the President in various capacities including fundraising and event planning.  Presides over meetings if President is absent.  Position also includes voting rights within FOM.

Treasurer- Officer/ Board Position (open)

Best suited for an accounting or financial background.  Responsible for keeping our books clean, file taxes, report monthly to the board and create a yearly working budget.  Position also includes voting rights within FOM.

Secretary- Officer/ Board Position (open)

The Secretary shall keep all records of the organization, record minutes, voting records and send notice of meetings to the Membership.  Position also includes voting rights within FOM.

Board Member- Six Positions Total

Board members attend meetings and have voting rights within FOM.  Board members are encouraged to volunteer at various events, strategize ideas for fundraising, and be involved in FOM and school functions.

Election Day is Thursday, May 1st at 8:00am during our monthly FOM meeting and is conducted by FOM board members.
